Our mission is to provide resources for the improvement of beekeeping using proven techniques and procedures in the management of honeybees and to share this knowledge with everyone interested in the art of beekeeping.
Meetings are usually held on the second Tuesday of every month at 7:00 PM in the Bartow County Extension Office (old school house behind the Cartersville Public Library). All are welcome to attend.

Free Bee School
Bartow Beekeepers are having another FREE Bee
School. Our purpose is to
promote beekeeping in Bartow County and the surrounding area. This
school will cover harvesting honey and much more for anyone interested
in
beekeeping. This will be 'hands on' for beginners and anyone thinking
about becoming a beekeeper.
The Bee School will cover:
-equipment for extracting honey (extractors, capping knives, etc.)
-different
ways to get bees out of honey supers
-preparing for honey extracting (capping, etc.)
-hands on extracting
-tasting honey
-what to do with wax
-purchase fresh honey straight from the hive
-and much more
The school will on June 19th, 2010 from 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM at Osborne
Park
in Euharlee, GA, with a 45 minute lunch break at Johnny Mitchell Smoke
